DC Current Transducers

Logic Beach distributes a series of DC current transducers compatible with our data logging instruments. These transducers are used for sensing the DC current flow in conductors and generate a low level output signal which is compatible with our data acquisition, alarming and reporting instruments.

The H97x series are split-core design allowing for installation on a conductor without rewiring.

A line of open-frame shunt type transducers is also available. Typically these are used for low voltage applications requiring higher accuracy.

H971 Bi-Directional DC Current Transducer

H971 Bi-Directional DC Current Transducers

The H971 transducers are split-core DC current sensing transducers that measure bi-directional (positive and negative) DC currents and output a 4-20mA signal. As the parts are bi-directional, 12mA output corresponds to 0 Adc, 4mA corresponds to negative full scale current and 20mA corresponds to postive full scale current. The H971 has a field adjustable current range allowing users to set full scale ranges from +/-20Adc to +/-200Adc.

The H971SP is identical to the H971 but has been factory calibrated for the user specified full scale range.

Transducers require 12 to 24Vdc power (for current sensing greater than 120Adc, 15Vdc minimum supply voltage is required) Nominal power supply current draw is less than 100mA.

EA20 DC Current Transducer

EA20 DC Current Transducers

The EA20BB0xx family of transducers are split-core DC current sensing transducers that measure DC currents and output a 4-20mA signal. The EA20 is offered in three dc current ranges, 0 to 100, 150 and 200Adc full scale.

Transducers require 12 to 24Vdc power (for current sensing greater than 120Adc, 15Vdc minimum supply voltage is required) Nominal power supply current draw is less than 100mA.

Open Frame DC Current Shunt

Open Frame DC Current Shunts

The MKx line of open frame shunts is commonly used for low-voltage (due to exposed conductors) precision DC bi-directional or uni-directional current measurements. The shunts are factory calibrated to output either 50mVdc or 100mVdc full scale… either of which is compatible with the Logic Beach data acquisition, alarming and reporting instruements.

Accuracy is 0.25% of reading and shunts are rated for continuous operation at 66% of FS current. The shunts have a 20ppm/DegC temperature coefficient.

Three size shunts are available and each size is offered in multiple full scale ranges:

  • MKA: 1 to 150Adc
  • MKB: 100 to 600Adc
  • MKC: 800 to 1200 Adc
