The following screen capture illustrates a HyperWare network (program) for a logger that incorporates the HAP™ call-out icon. Nets like these are developed graphically from within the standard Logic Beach data logger programming software (within HyperWare) then transferred to the logger's memory where they execute.

Adding a HAP icon to the logger's Net Program allows automated call-out from the logger to a PC running HAP in the Auto-Answer mode. Call outs can be initiated by the logger based on time or alarms (eg low-level, low memory, over-temp, etc).

In this example, the HAP icon (labelled "HAP-msg") is triggered when the water level within the lift-station exceeds a pre-set level. The action to be taken when the HAP icon is trigger depends on the functionality defined by the User during construction of the Program Net. In this case, it may be desirable to post a pop-up message on the answering PC's screen. Also, note that in this Program Net, when the high water level condition is detected, the logger will also send out a message to a pager.
